The summer is flying by.  We hope that many of our partners will come and visit us on either our first farm day coming up in 2 weeks or the other week-end in September.

For those of you who were with us last year and remember the year of no tomatoes, we hope over the next month to change that into the year of bountiful tomatoes, eggplant and peppers.  We are having our best year yet for those particular vegetables and hope you will avail yourself of the recipes provided as well as going to our facebook page to talk with each other about what works and what is tried and tested.

We have wonderful peaches again this week from our farm friend Joe C and will be sharing a recipe for peach and hot pepper marmalade that has everyone here at the farm licking their lips for more. Our new friend David who has worked here this season made the first batch and my son Josh said it’s the best of any kind of jelly he has ever had. There is something about that sweet/hot taste as it permeates your mouth from the peach and pepper mixture that make this concoction truly delicious.  You gotta try it!

Several of you have sent encouraging emails to the farm regarding virtually all aspects of our CSA.  Would you be willing to allow us to use these as testimonials in our upcoming marketing and at various times throughout the year?

We are particularly indebted to our members of 2 years or longer who are still excited, surprised and totally locked in partnership with us to provide the best that we are able to care for you and your loved ones. It is our pleasure to bring the bounty of local, sustainable, organic produce and fruit to you in your home.  Have a great week! Come visit us at the farm on 8/28/10 if you are able.  If not, plan to do so in September on either the 24th or the 25th!

Do rsvp as soon as you are able.

We hope you will join us!

Blessings,

Ashley & Ethel
